Development Administrative Assistant 

 

This position is a non-exempt hourly wage position with a flexible schedule.  The role requires the person to assist the development staff and development related committees with duties essential to helping the organization fulfill its budget and administrative objectives. 

Non-profit fundraising requires a passion for the mission of the organization, and a willingness to communicate the mission to others.  Appreciating the work of Good Samaritan Services as a whole, and recognizing and cherishing the lives of those whose lives are improved by this work, our development staff can be instruments of tremendous positive change in the lives of hundreds of people every year.  To do this, we work as a team to fund the organization.  Each piece of the development team is essential and highly prized.

Family Resource Coordinator (Part-time)  – Coatesville, PA

 

Responsible for family selection, service development & evaluation, family resource coordination, networking with other agencies, and supervision & staff communication.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum – Associate Degree and displayed experience in related field
  • Preferred – Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or Human Services Field. Persons with equivalent experience and demonstrated skill in social services may be considered

Program Coordinator – Phoenixville, PA

Responsible for providing program support as well as recruiting and organizing volunteers as needed.  The Program Director works as a valuable member of a team, taking direction while proactively identifying areas for improvement.The Program Director works with staff to identify ways to create consistency and uniformity across the organization.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Preferred education – associate’s degree
  • Preferred education – bachelor’s degree
  • Two years + relevant work experience coordinating similar programs.

Shelter Overnight Staff – Ephrata, PA

Managing and supervising the Emergency Shelter program during the hours of 8:00 pm and 8:00 am, ensuring the safety and well-being of all participants, volunteers, and staff members.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  1. An understanding of recovery from addictions and mental illness is helpful.
  2. Ability to organize and prioritize tasks.
  3. Ability to work effectively with the Lead Residential Services Coordinator, other staff and volunteers.
  4. Good judgment and restraint in dealing with participants.
  5. Skill in verbal communication.
  6. After hiring the Shelter Overnight Staff member will be trained in the use of passive restraints and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), and First Aid.

This position is accepted pending a probationary period at which point a probationary review will be performed.
