Good Samaritan Services (GSS) is an award winning, high-impact organization providing emergency shelter, transitional housing and permanent housing services to individuals and families across Lancaster & Chester Counties. Annually we serve over 400 people in our programs. Our unique and innovative programs, such as the Matched Savings Program, Microloan Program, and Nourish Mobile Market, offer real and sustainable opportunities for the clients we serve. We own 10 properties in Lancaster & Chester Counties, and have 4 office locations in Phoenixville, Coatesville, Ephrata and Lancaster.
The Operations Manager of Good Samaritan Services is an imaginative leader with a passion for catalyzing change and the ambition to make it happen. The Operations Manager is focused on results and seeks new and innovative ways to deliver.
He or she has preferably been accountable to a board or owner, brings humble confidence to implementing strategy, and knows how to balance business goals with mission.
The ideal candidate leads with compassion and gratitude, hallmarks of Good Samaritan’s approach. A straightforward communicator, the Operations Manager manages with empathy and strong emotional intelligence.
The Operations Manager will oversee all Nourish Operations and the HR, Facilities, and Administration departments of GSS. The Operations Manager will divide his/her time between GSS and Nourish with approximately 75% devoted to GSS and 25% to Nourish. It is expected that the Operations Manager will occasionally travel to all 4 of our office locations, though he/she will predominately work out of the Phoenixville office.
